Just a quick note…

I recently saw a review of one of the Osprey books I have done recently. I enjoy writing these as they are quite tightly focussed with a strict structural guideline. It’s a bit of a challenge fitting everything into the necessary spaces. Plus, Osprey are a fantastic publishing company to work with.

However, I did take issue with one point somebody was trying to make. There is a section called ‘Further Reading’ at the end of each book. From this list of books the reviewer noted that I obviously use no primary sources in my writing of this ‘booklet’. Not true. This section is called ‘Further Reading‘, not, ‘Bibliography and Sources‘. It is a suggestion for other books that reflect on the same subject.

Not sure why it annoyed me so much, but it did. I work hard at researching these books and the idea that I just stole a lot of second hand ideas sticks in my craw 🙂
