I have a new article coming out in History of War, issue 074, about the history of the Tirpitz, focusing on its final months and primarily from the German perspective. Interesting story that includes the railroading of a highly decorated Luftwaffe officer for his supposed failure to protect the ship from bombers. The difficult relationship between Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine, with resultant cumbersome communication channels once again resulted in tragedy.
