In addition to my previous post, I’m really pleased to see that the book I wrote about Teddy Suhren’s 1942 war patrol is being issued in French by Editions Heimdal. These guys do fantastic books so it’s quite an honour to be part of their list. Teddy Suhren was a unique character and it was fascinating ‘getting to know’ the whole crew while researching this book. It’s not that often that you really get the chance to investigate each member of a U-boat crew – and I was fortunate enough to meet some survivors plus Teddy’s widow and daughter.
